ARCHITECTURE AS BARNACLE

One of the ways to configure architecture is by adding on to existing armatures/buildings new components/elements/fragments that were never
conceived as part of the original establishment.

The proposition is that if architecture tends to perform neutrally in grid-iron armatures/matrix/city-grids, barnacle change the reading of the building/
urban form.

In this scheme, the grid-iron-like armature acts as an ‘establishment’ and the barnacle appears as appendages, infills, fragments of organic/non-organic elements.
