Hills. The Architecture of this project is driven not by the need to create building forms for occupation but on the need to create forms that define the spaces around them. We refer to it as Hillscapes – spaces around and about any hill-forms are those that are most charged with human activities and interactions. Above and beyond the idea that the Architectural Form is metaphorically an Extended Landform based on Hills, the physiological human endeavour of how people use these landscapes also apply. The Forms are designed to be as open as possible, to have edges, which blur the definition of formal and informal, private and public where people can call their own, and not of places where people are told what to do.
